Glimmars Steampunk was created by Glimmar back in the year 2010 and has been updated to the latest version of Minecraft recently.

Have you ever wondered how Minecraft will look in a Science Fiction based world? Then this resource pack is something you definetely want to try out!

Nearly every texture, item and creature was redesigned, to give Minecraft the proper SciFi feeling. Skeletons look like post apocalyptic robots for example.

Above you can see a direct comparison between the Vanilla Minecraft and Glimmars Steampunk. Thanks the the high resolution it's playable very smoothly and also good for the eyes.

As you imagine right now, the SciFi look isn't present at bare nature. That's a great thing, because the developer didn't want to take off too much from the original feeling.

HOW TO INSTALL GLIMMARS STEAMPUNK

Download the texture pack for your preferred Minecraft version
Locate the resourcepacks folder in your Minecraft directory
Copy the downloaded ZIP file in this folder
Launch Minecraft and change the textures ingame
Enjoy!

These images demonstrate the promised SciFi look more likely. Many textures were adjusted to give it the proper feeling, aswell as every creature.

This resource pack is also perfect for builders, because they now have much more possibilites and the opportunity to get better creation ideas than before.

MOD RECOMMENDATIONS

I highly recommend you to use Glimmars Steampunk in combination with the Shaders Mod, as it will give you a whole new visual gaming experience. Realistic shaders, such as Continuum shader pack or SEUS, are a good choice in my opinion, but also colorful ones like Cybox shader pack are looking great.
