Dokucraft was originally created by doku. Shortly before the release of Minecraft 1.8 Beta, he stopped working on it. HickeryDickery took over the project and updates it regularly.

This 32×32 resource pack comes in different variations: Light, High, Dark and Dwarven. It is one of the most popular resource packs for Minecraft and didn't earn its status out of nothing.

All in all the textures are designed very detailed. They are not overwhelming the original Minecraft feeling, in fact everything seems to be right in place. Definetely a recommendation from me!

DIRECT COMPARISON BETWEEN VANILLA MINECRAFT AND DOKUCRAFT

Above you can see a direct comparison between the Vanilla Minecraft and Dokucraft. Every texture has been redesigned to fit properly together. To be honest, the developer did an incredible job. Continue the great work!

This resource pack doesn't come in a high resolution such as other packs, but it's still amazing, especially when used with shaders.

HOW TO INSTALL DOKUCRAFT

  1. Download the texture pack for your preferred Minecraft version
  2. Locate the resourcepacks folder in your Minecraft directory
  3. Copy the downloaded ZIP file in this folder
  4. Launch Minecraft and change the textures ingame
  5. Enjoy!

After all I have to admit, I really enjoy using Dokucraft as one of my main resource packs. The images above demonstrate different locations and settings of it.

As mentioned, it comes in four variations, just small texture differences, but there is something for every taste. My personal favorite is the Dwarven pack, but you should definetely try out each one of it!

MOD RECOMMENDATIONS

Dokucraft is best used with the Shaders Mod, as it demonstrate the full extent and you can enjoy all benefits. My recommendation is to go with realistic shaders, such as Continuum or SEUS, as they fit perfectly together.
