The Journey Map was created by rechbrew at the end of 2011. In order to use the mod, you have to install Forge first. I can tell you whenever I play a survival game and use the minimap, it makes my ingame life much easier!

A good and clear map was always a missing feature in Minecraft. Thanks to this great mod, a real-time minimap has been added to your gameplay experience. It is also possible to view it in the browser, or as a fullscreen map ingame.

As you can see above, the Journey Map Mod is configurable in many ways. The Minimap itself is placeable in each corner as circle, square or rectangle form.

On the Fullscreenmap have several options available and may change it as you prefer, for example day or night mode, zoom in and out, mobs, neutral creeps and pets. It is also possible to disable everything, so only the map is visible.

HOW TO INSTALL JOURNEY MAP


  1. Update Minecraft to your preferred version
  2. Download and install Forge and launch the game with your newly created profile once
  3. Get the Mod file and copy it into your mods folder in the Minecraft root directory
    To get there, press [WINDOWS] + [R] and type in %appdata%/.minecraft
  4. Launch Minecraft and check if it is listed in the Mods menu
  5. Enjoy!

DESCRIPTION

Because of the many features and configurable settings Journey Map has, it is a very popular mod amongst all Minecraft Players. It is inconceivable to play a survivalgame without a proper minimap.

The key features are day/night mode, interior and cave maps, nether and end maps, waypoint management and player and mob radar. Those are just a few possibilities. I recommend to try it out yourself to experience the whole mod.

COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MODS

It is not possible to use Journey Map with any other minimap mod for Minecraft. Besides that, no other compatibility issues with other mods should appear.

MOD RECOMMENDATIONS

The Journey Map may be played with nearly any other mod, but requires Forge. We suggest to use a proper resource pack and shaders, to enjoy the full survival experience of Minecraft. Just make sure you don't install any other minimap mod.
